六觀音

(六觀音, 六观音)

The six kinds of Guanyin. There are two groups--

I.

That of Tiantai: [lang id =1028]大悲 most pitiful; [lang id =1028]大慈 most merciful; [lang id =1028]師子無畏 of lion-courage; [lang id =1028]大光普照 of universal light; [lang id =1028]天人丈夫 leader amongst gods and men; [lang id =1028]大梵深遠 the great omnipresent Brahma. Each of this bodhisattva's six qualities of pity, etc., breaks the hindrances [lang id =1028]三障 respectively of the hells, (sa) pretas, animals, (sa) asuras, men, and (sa) devas.

II.

As thousand-handed; the holy one; horseheaded; eleven-faced; Cundī (or Marīci); with the wheel of sovereign power.

１．顯教的六觀音是大悲觀音、 大慈觀音、 獅子無畏觀音、 大光普照觀音、 天人丈夫觀音、 大梵深遠觀音。 ２．密教的六觀音是千手觀音、 聖觀音、 馬頭觀音、 十一面觀音、 准提觀音、 如意輪觀音。 ３．以六觀音分配於六道。 茲列表說明如下： 千手────大悲────地獄道 聖─────大慈────餓鬼道 馬頭────師子無畏──畜生道 十一面───大光普照──修羅道 准提────天人丈夫──人道 如意輪───大梵深遠──天道
